The Mingle brand had already been through one major redesign prior to 2024, known as Mingle 2.0. However, this redesign by an external agency strayed too far from the original identity, losing touch with Mingle’s fun and vibrant spirit.

To bring the brand back to its roots, I spearheaded the Mingle 3.0 rebranding, striking a balance between the brand’s original appeal (Mingle 1.0) and the aesthetic refinements introduced in Mingle 2.0. Working under the direction of Jordyn Evans, Mingle’s founder, I took a lead role in refreshing the brand identity, reimagining the packaging, and optimizing the design to align with Mingle’s values.

The main challenge was to create a design that felt authentic to Mingle’s origins while addressing the evolved market expectations and brand maturity. The branding needed to convey Mingle’s commitment to health, connection, and simplicity, without losing the vibrant and friendly personality that customers loved. I was tasked with reshaping the look and feel to be a balanced mix of “fun” and “trustworthy,” while ensuring practicality in packaging and maintaining a strong shelf presence.

With Mingle 3.0, I focused on building a cohesive brand identity that bridges the gap between Mingle’s playful spirit and its dedication to quality and connection. The design journey included optimizing packaging layouts for the full range of seasonings, creating new brand assets, and emphasizing bold colors and clear visuals. The new branding retains the essence of the original Mingle 1.0 while evolving to meet the brand’s current market position.

The layout ensures a consistent, vibrant look across all products, featuring bold colors, friendly typography, and easy-to-read information that makes each product stand out on the shelf.

We chose to retain the attribute icons from Mingle 2.0 while creating a new set of custom icons for Mingle 3.0. Designed by Manu Negri, these icons complement the evolving brand identity, focusing on versatility for social media, print, and digital assets. They enhance visual storytelling and reinforce the brand's engaging, vibrant presence.

The Mingle 3.0 transformation has allowed the brand to discover its authentic voice and visual identity. This update has resonated with loyal customers and attracted new ones, all drawn to Mingle's commitment to quality and connection. It beautifully captures the founder’s vision and dedication to creating a healthier, more connected world.
